2025 Public Open House

The Board of Directors invites the public to an open house to discuss current and future activity in the Barkley Community Forest.
Members of the Board Directors and General Manager will be in attendance to answer questions and discuss the management of the community forest.
The Barkley Community Forest Corporation, which is jointly owned by the District of Ucluelet and the Toquaht Nation, holds Community Forest Agreement K3S. The Community Forest is managed by a Board of Directors appointed by the shareholders of the BCFC.

Public Consultation
The Barkley Community Forest Corporation (BCFC) invites the public to review and comment on an online Forest Operations Map (FOM).
BCFC holds a Community Forest tenure (K3S) located within the Maggie Landscape Unit. It is comprised of one operating area / forest development unit (FDU).
This FOM includes a proposed harvest area and associated roads. A FOM is valid for the application of a cutting permit or road permit for three years starting the date that the FOM review and commenting period commences.
The FOM can be viewed by appointment at 1971 Peninsula Rd, Ucluelet BC; Please call 250 897 2763 to arrange a viewing time. The FOM can also be viewed online at:
https://fom.nrs.gov.bc.ca/public/projects.
This FOM is valid as of May 21st. Written comments must be received no later than June 20th and can be made online, sent to Erik Holbek RPF, manager@barkleyforest.ca, or mailed to the following address:
